Learning Objectives
After participating in the ACEs ECHO, participants will be able to:
- Define trauma-informed principles to guide best practices.
- Demonstrate the importance of the continuum of care for families and children who
experience ACEs.
- Examine interventions that support trauma-impacted children and their families.
- Analyze the biopsychosocial consequences of early adversity on childhood development and long-term health outcomes.
- Strategize methods to coordinate all stakeholders involved in client care to support a trauma-informed workplace.
- Implement one trauma-informed screening tool in the workplace.
- Increase self-awareness and resiliency by identifying at least two self-care tools to minimize the risk of secondary traumatic stress.
- Build a multidisciplinary platform consisting of local, state, and national resources for trauma-impacted children and families.
